Idromeccanica Lucchini benches can be covered with polystyrene floors that makes them ideal for flow and reflux irrigation with damping of the plant from below. The bottom of the bench can also be enriched with welded mesh designed for soil-less cultivation. The net texture can be of different sizes depending on the load, the type of crops and the type of substrate used for soil-less cultivation. For large-scale crops, which make it necessary to maximise surfaces, the benches can be offered with sliding structure. In the sliding structure, their base remains solid and fixed, while the table is self-propelled and equipped with a "push-pull" system that minimizes fatigue and allows you to move the plants with a sliding technology. In addition to an improvement in working conditions, this particular system allows to produce batches with better control over the plants. Batch cultivation, in fact, helps verifying the state of growth of crops, allowing a fertigation strategy aimed at the state of the plants present in each batch. This type of activity is particularly developed especially in nurseries for the creation of plants from seed to pre-transplant state. These solutions can also be supplied with automated handling. In these cases the bench, controlled with motion and proximity sensors, automatically moves in the various areas of the greenhouse, moving the crops from the sowing area, to the cutting/harvesting and washing area.
