Corporate investment on people: the Lucchini way

Idromeccanica Lucchini meets every year for a reflection moment, for introspection and sharing of knowledge and experience, to analyse the successes and challenges faced in the past year. We see this as a crucial point to build a foundation for the future, without claim but with the aim to figure out together where and how to improve.

At our peak of commitment and dedication, Lucchini has reached an unprecedented level of excellence. The goal is clear: to make our stakeholders happier and happier. To do this requires the entire large and diverse Lucchini family to become true brand ambassadors worldwide (as we will also see in the next article).

This horizon implies a radical change within the company.

Massimo and Emanuele, at the helm of Lucchini, have realized that investing in people is the key to success. "Continuous Improvement" has become the company's mantra, with a three-step path involving the entire organization.

1. Team Building and Personal Development

Since February 2024, an intensive team building program has been initiated to foster teamwork and boost employee well-being. At the same time, individual coaching was designed to bring out the potential of each member of the company. Communication, teamwork and corporate expectations became the key elements of this process. The goal is to create an environment where business evolution and improvement are an integral part of the company's holistic culture, making employees proud to belong to the Lucchini ecosystem.

2. Management and Training Pathway

With over sixty people on the job, Lucchini recognizes the importance of training its team. A systematic approach to analyse sales, customer service, assembly, and organization management procedures was initiated in 2024. An ambitious path, involving the entire company infrastructure, from accounting to operations, driven by a coaching role, counter to current trends.

3. Lean Management and Optimization

After the team building and training phase Idromeccanica Lucchini - in the third quarter - wants to focus on the implementation of so-called "Lean Management." This approach, derived from Japanese culture, aims to optimize cost, time and space. A triad to be considered as an amalgamated structure. Lucchini wants to create an environment in which people can work at their best, distinguishing themselves on objective merits. Ethical, social and environmental sustainability is another pillar for our company's approach, well evidenced by our receipt of the "EcoVadis" silver medal. An important recognition of which we are particularly proud.

Final Thoughts

The company embraces a vision that goes beyond "growth for growth's sake." People are the driving force behind Lucchini, and their commitment is reflected in the satisfaction of our customers. We are considering endorsing smart working and increasing flexibility, emphasizing the importance of work-life balance.

Investments extend to family services, tax advice, food stamps, and more. Our mission is now very clear: to create a work environment that inspires pleasure and pride in working for Idromeccanica Lucchini, with a constant focus on work-life balance.

In this way, Lucchini continues its evolutionary journey without a real end point, but with a constant quest for improvement.

Going above and beyond.
